From the couch to the group.

Everything Rally does, in the order you'd use it: finding a plan, knowing it's real, getting there and walking in. Everything here works in the app today. Names on this page are samples.

Pick

Swipe on plans.

Rally lines up real plans near you. Say yes and it's saved.

Know

See who's really coming.

Counts that move as people head over. Never where anyone is.

Chat

Say hi before you arrive.

The rally chat opens the moment you're going.

Arrive

Walk in already in the group.

Here, who you know, where to find us, and a line to start talking.

Keep

Keep the people you met.

The morning after: add friends and rally again.

Picks made for you.

Tell Rally what you're into once. After that it pays attention to what you actually do: the plans you say yes to, the ones you skip, where you show up and who you keep running into. Every night out makes the next pick better.

  • Why this one on every pick, in plain words. Never a score.
  • What's happening today comes first, then tonight, then the weekend.
  • Skip one and the next pick shows up. Rally never asks why.

Why this one

Small group, the way you like it.

Maya is going. You met her at the sunrise run.

You end up at The Rec Room a lot.

Proof people are coming.

Going is a yes. Rallying only counts when your phone is actually moving toward it. Here means you walked in.

  • An hour before, Rally asks "Still going?" Not anymore leaves quietly.
  • On the way is automatic: head over and Rally shares your ETA for you.
  • People who aren't your friends see "about 9 min", never a map or where you started.
  • Running late? One tap moves your ETA.

Say hi before you get there.

Every rally has a group chat that opens the moment you're in, and closes a day after.

Walk in and find them.

The hardest part is the first minute inside. When you arrive, Rally shows who's already there and where to find them.

  • Where to find us from the host, only for people going.
  • People you know who are already Here: friends and people you've rallied with.
  • One icebreaker from what people chose to share, like "You both follow the Ravens."

See where it's busy.

The map glows where people on Rally are out right now, and every venue shows if it's busy or getting busy. Areas, never pins, and counts only from 5 people.

Out solo? Say so.

Turn on Looking for group and people nearby can invite you into their group, or start one with you.

  • Add a note and how long you're looking.
  • Others see rough distance only, like "a few blocks away".
  • Passing on an invite is private. They're never told.

One good night turns into a regular thing.

Midweek, Rally asks if you're going out this weekend. On the day, if people you've rallied with said the same night, Rally offers to start a rally with them.

  • Friends are named. Everyone else is just a count.
  • Keep it to friends only with one switch.

Going out this weekend?

Always something real to do.

Rally finds real events near you, like live music, comedy and big games, so there's something on even before anyone hosts. Or start your own in a minute.

  • Found by Rally events link to where they're listed. Nobody hosts them, and the counts start at zero.
  • Hosts can approve who joins, add co-hosts, post updates and move the time.
  • If a host has to cancel, the rally can pass to someone going, so nobody's left wondering.

Why I built Rally.

Not going to college, and also not making many friends in high school led me to a very small social circle. Being outgoing and friendly only got me so far when I tried to meet people outside, so I built Rally to fix this problem. Now, we all have a way we can go and meet people that are interested in doing what we like to do.
